Embellishment

The embellishment object allows you to display an embellishment image such as a ribbon or a tag on the page.

The embellishment object also allows you to set the transparency of the image. Adjusting the transparency of the object allows you to achieve a translucent (see-through) effect for the embellishment. If you want to add some depth to your scrapbook, try enabling the shadow for a three dimensional effect.

Tip: Embellishment objects maintain their aspect ratio by default when they are resized from their corners, but not from their sides. You can toggle this behavior by holding down the Shift key while resizing. This will maintain its aspect ratio while resizing from its sides, but not from its corner.

If there are parts of the embellishment you don't want to show, try using the Crop feature that allows you to select only the area of the image you want to show. You can adjust this area anytime until your embellishment is perfect.

The embellishment object is compatible with the following image formats:

.bmp, .jpg, .pcx, .png, .tga, .tif, .wmf, .apm, .emf, .psd, .pcd, .gif (not animated)

Tip: You can add an embellishment object to the page by choosing Object > Embellishment from the menu, or by selecting the object type from the right-click context menu.
