File Menu Commands

New

Opens the Create New Scrapbook dialog to start a new project. If there are any unsaved changes in the current project, you will be prompted to save them.

Tip: You can delete or rename Scrapbook MAX! templates from the Create New Scrapbook dialog by right-clicking on the desired template thumbnail image and selecting either Delete or Rename.

Open...

Opens the Open Scrapbook dialog where you  can select a previously saved Scrapbook MAX! project file (*.sbm). All Scrapbook MAX! project files are stored in the \Scrapbook MAX! 2.0\Projects subfolder of your system's My Documents folder.

Tip: You can delete a previously saved Scrapbook MAX! project file from the Open Scrapbook dialog by right-clicking the desired project thumbnail image and selecting Delete.

Save

Saves the current project file.

Save As...

Saves the project under a different name. This creates a new folder, copies all of the files from the current project into that folder, and creates a new project file.

Email...

Email the pages of your currently open scrapbook to a friend as image files using either a MAPI compliant email application, Gmail, or another email service provider through SMTP. Before you use the email feature, you may need to configure your Scrapbook MAX! email settings. See the Emailing Your Scrapbook topic for more information.

Note: When you use the email option, all images will be limited to a width and height of 800 pixels to minimize the attachment size. If you would like larger images, use the Publish to Images option instead and email them using your favorite email program.

Publish To

Print...

Opens the Print dialog where you can specify what pages you want to print as well as the number of copies.

Note: When "Selection" is chosen as the print range, the current page will be printed.

Order Prints Online...

Takes you to a Web site where you can order prints of your scrapbook pages.

Images...

Opens the Publish to Images dialog where you can configure the settings needed to publish each page of your scrapbook as a JPG/PNG or TIF image file.

Movie...

Opens the Publish to Movie dialog where you can configure the settings needed take your scrapbook and generate an MPEG (MPEG1) or AVI movie file from it.

Slideshow...

Opens the Publish to Slideshow dialog where you can configure the settings needed to create a compressed executable slideshow of your scrapbook that will play in a computer.

Photo CD...

Opens the Publish to Photo CD dialog where you can configure the settings needed to burn the pages of your scrapbook on a CD/DVD as image files.

Slideshow CD...

Opens the Publish to Slideshow CD-ROM dialog where you can configure the settings needed to burn your scrapbook on a CD/DVD as a slideshow that will play on computers.

PDF...

Opens the Publish to PDF dialog where you can configure the settings needed to publish your scrapbook as a PDF file that can be read by Adobe Acrobat reader.

HTML...

Opens the Publish to HTML dialog where you can configure the settings needed to publish your scrapbook as a collection of HTML files that allow you to show it as a slideshow on a website.

Screensaver...

Opens the Publish to Screensaver dialog where you can configure the settings needed to publish your scrapbook as a Windows screensaver file (.scr).

Print Setup...

Opens the Print Setup dialog where you can configure the print settings you want to use.

Print Preview

Opens a preview window so you can see what each page will look like when you print your scrapbook.

Print...

Opens the Print dialog where you can specify what pages you want to print as well as the number of copies.

Note: When "Selection" is chosen as the print range, the current page will be printed.

Order Prints Online...

Takes you to a Web site where you can order prints of your scrapbook pages.

Export Template...

This option allows you to export your current project as a project template for Scrapbook MAX!. Project templates are available for selection on the Create New Scrapbook dialog that is shown when you start a new project or its pages when adding new pages. They can be used as a starting point for new projects. Selecting this option opens the Export Template dialog where you can choose a name for the template, whether or not to remove photos, optimize embellishment sizes, ungroup/unpin/unlock objects and add some optional personal information.

Import Template...

This option allows you to import a project template (*.smt, *.sm2t) into Scrapbook MAX! so it is available for selection when adding a new page, or starting a new project. This allows you to use any additional templates that become available that are not installed with the program. When you select a template to import, it will be stored in the \Scrapbook MAX! 2.0\Templates subfolder of your system's My Documents folder.

This menu option also allows you to import Gallery Packs that you have purchased or downloaded from the Web. Gallery Packs have the file extension ".smb". To import a gallery pack, select "Gallery Packs (*.smb)" from the "Files of type" drop down. When you select a gallery pack to import, it will be stored in the \Scrapbook MAX! 2.0\Gallery subfolder of your system's My Documents folder.

Tip: You can see where the files were installed by clicking the "Details" button on the Scrapbook MAX! Importer dialog when it is complete.

Recently saved projects

A list of your recently saved project files.

Exit

Closes the current project and exits out of Scrapbook MAX!. If there are any unsaved changes in the current project, you will be prompted to save them.
