Display Quality

Display Quality

The Display Quality settings control how carefully images are displayed during layout. (Technically they specify what kind of "interpolation filters" are used for images.) You can adjust these settings to change the balance between quality and speed to suit your preference during layout.

Note: These settings only affect the quality of how images are shown during layout in Scrapbook MAX!. They have no effect on published or printed images. Scrapbook MAX! always uses the highest quality filter (lanczos) when publishing images.

When zoomed out:

The quality of filter to use when the page is at less than 95% zoom. Choose from nearest neighbour (fastest), bilinear (default), bicubic, mitchell and lanczos (highest quality).

When zoomed in:

The quality of filter to use when the page is at 95% zoom or higher. Choose from nearest neighbour (fastest), bilinear, bicubic, mitchell and lanczos (highest quality - default).

For temporary images:

The resize method to use for the temporary images saved in the project's "Resized" folder. Choose from nearest neighbour (fastest), area average (default), bilinear, bicubic, mitchell and lanczos (highest quality).

Note: Changing this setting will only take effect for new images that you add after changing the setting, unless you delete the Resized folder for the current project.
