This gorgeous set of static and animated banners and blinkies was designed by Scrapbook MAX! Booster Pack Store designer Donna Thomas (a.k.a. autisticwonder). Here’s a bit about Donna:
I’m a self-taught, hobbyist designer. My new-found friend (and fellow Booster Pack Store designer) Fiona Storey and I joined the site within 24 hours of each other. Instantly liked her! Started chatting on “MAX!” and have never stopped! We had a ball coming up with new ideas and ways to teach folks how to use their great Scrapbook MAX! program! That is where my heart for designing has come from and I only design for MAX! and no one else! This is my scrapbooking home!

**And here’s some exciting news – Donna has generously offered to personalize her special 150 x 50 Scrapbook MAX! blinkie design just for you! If you’re interested, please contact Donna (autisticwonder) through the private message system in the Scrapbook MAX! forums. She will give you instructions, and you’ll be on your way to blinkie town!**
Thanks so much, Donna! Your blinkies rock!

The Groove Monthly Freebie Challenge
Each month, a featured designer offers a great freebie mini-kit and issues a challenge based on that kit.
All you need to do is download the freebie, create a layout that steps up to the challenge, upload it to the Groove challenge and post a link to your layout in a reply to the challenge thread!
This month, designer Deanne Gow-Smith has shared an elegant freebie that she is inviting you to have some “color fun” with!
- Take the items in this kit and change the colours of everything (double-click on your item in the Scrapbook MAX! design space, click on the Advanced tab and use the adjust colour / hue settings in Scrapbook MAX! 2.0)
- Make a color co-ordinated layout (with your new “colour scheme”)
- Be sure to re-colour your background image. Here’s how:
Import a background paper from this kit into the design space as a “Background”. Double-click on the Background to call up its Settings. On the Settings dialog, keep Background Image selected, but at the same time choose a colour from the color selector. Then, use the transparency slider. Your chosen hue will shine through your background image!
- Add text, making sure to use the colour blend or image/pattern buttons.

All in the Family
We’d like to leave you with three special Family Heritage layouts in celebration of this month’s theme. We felt that each of these layouts told a very special story, in words and in images. Imagine how wonderful it will be to look back at these pages, made with love and care, and to share them with future generations… We hope this issue inspires you to create your own family heritage pages!
