These are my great grandparents. (My father's mother's side) They both came over from Europe. Mike (a coal miner) was from Germany, Susie's (who was blind) origins have not positively been identified. We were told she was from the Hungary area, although census info has indicated Austria for both of them. Mike spoke about seven lanquages and would start speaking in one language and when he couldn't think of a word, he would switch languages. Only Susie could understand most of what he said. I was named after Susie. They both died when I was a baby.
