Imust have been about three years old, and had just climbed my first mountain! Never mind that it was only 900 feet high (a bit under 300 metres), I did it on my own two feet. Dad was so proud of me!
I was always my daddy's girl. We had similar characters, likes and dislikes. I took my love of the outdoors from him, though to be honest was not as able to climb mountains to the same extent he did, due to a lack of lung power, and a funny (problem) hip! I did my best though and have stood at the top of a number of British and Irish mountains. Dad has been gone for 30 years, but I'm sure he's with me out there on the hills! I chose the aqua colours for the layout as the little knitted bolero I was wearing was that colour - we called it eau de nil in those days! Nile water? Hmmm!
Thanks to Becky Soto for Graced with Lace, and also to Kathy Smith for the stitching
