I was sleeping and my husband had just gotten up and got the paper in. He ran up stairs and announced Princess Di Died! I couldn't believe it, I had to get up and look at the paper for myself. I was in total shock!
You know it can happen to anyone anytime. But I still couldn't believe it.
Beautiful tribute page!

WOW 10 years already, unbelieveable!!! I was watching latenight TV and they interupted it, saying she was in a car accident, I tried to watch as much as possible, what a shock to hear in the morning that she was gone. She certainly took a piece of everyones heart with her the day that she died.
Excellent Layout M&M!!!

im not sure were i was. but i do rember walking into mums house and she said diana is dead. it took a few moments to hit that she was talking about princess diana. i was in deep shock. then 3 minets later i burst out in tears. id followed her life from the time she and prince charles became ingaged. i have every magazine topic done on her, i have every thing in the news papers of her. i have video coverage of all the times she was on the news on tv. i have her weddiong day taped. i even waited out side the kinder garden building in cockatoo when she first came to australia with charle and baby son william. i gave her a bunch of roses and she in turn said thank you to me as i was the only one that called her princess diana the rest just yelled out hey lady Di. and she then shock my hand. her skin was as soft as silk. and as white as snow close up. she then smiled at me as she was pushed along buy the boady guards. i still have some place around here the photos i took of her that day. she was my idol. and when i herd she had died i was deverstated. i taped the furanal. and could not see the screen due to the tears. she gave so much and got only hurt back. i know now she is at peace and is just waiting for the day she and her boys will once more be togeather. till that day i know she is with them in sprit. god bless her soul and may she rest in peace

To All My Memories:
Thank you for your wonderful post - you are the only one I know who ever met her. I, too, have so many books about her - she was a true princess.
Hugs from MaggieMae aka Julie

I was in total shock-and for a very long time I was angry with the paprazzi for being so agressive in trying to always get pcitures of her-I still believe that it is their fault she is gone. She was a princess in every sense of the word. I loved her compassion and her beauty and for daring to be herself. I miss her dearly.

I was at home and woke up to the news on tv. I was shocked to say the least. I still cry to this day when I remember the coffin with an envelope gently pressed into the wreath of white roses with the word "Mummy" written on it. I had to work the day of the funeral but at 11am [i think it was] most people, who could be, were silent for a short time. It seems like yesterday.
