This is my husband's GRANDMA'S recipe...she brings it to Christmas dinner every year and I LOVE IT! It's definitely an old recipe, I had never heard of rusk before, I had to call my mom and ask her what it was!

I'll have to try this. Babies have rusks to chew and suck when teething in England. It is exactly as you describe. We can buy extra hard chunks specially for babies.

I love onions, and I grew up with rusk. Comes in a paper tube. Good with butter and Jam on it!
