Abby has very beautiful eyes and strangers, if they make any comments about her, almost always comment about how beautiful they are. It is true that they are a lovely sight to behold. As her parents, we are striving to impart to her that although it is nice to recieve compliments, our worth is not based on what others think of us, but rather on the fact that we are loved by God. We are also dealing daily with the fact that we live in a world where so many influences are fighting for her attention and for her affections. Often these are things that can easily pull her away from the God who loves her so much. Our prayer for our children is that we would be wise in knowing how to guard their eyes and hearts from being influenced by the things that would compete for their affections and would draw them away from rather than closer to the Heart of God.
