    Angry What's The Difference between WinZip & RAR??

    Can anyone tell me what the difference is between WINZIP and RAR?

    Is there a way I can extract RAR files with WINZIP or do I have to download RAR.

    You can download "extractNow" for free and it unzips both.

    The newest version of WinZip will also unzip .RAR files, too.

    Winzip is only free for a certain amount of time and then you have to purchase it. ExtractNow is totally free. So try both and see what you like best.

    You can also try 7zip, which supports .zip, .rar, and many other file formats.

    I too use 7zip...Works with almost every file I came across...lol...
