Brushes are used in Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop or Photoshop elements. They are different designs, and you use them with the paint brush. You can make any kind of shape a brush, then you can use them on your layouts. they have various settings for how big or small they are, you can rotate them, you can make them any color you want....I hope this helps a little....and BTW there are no dumb questions.

If you don't have paint shop, etc... are you still able to use the "brushes", I would assume no.

Check out Granny's website for RealDrawPro 4. It supports brushes as well. She has many tutorials to learn the program. You won't be sorry if you venture to this website!

Hey...sorry but I have to disagree. I am a teacher, and I always started the year with the statement "There is no such thing as a dumb question." Let me tell you, 5th graders can prove you WRONG!!!!!! Now, I tell the kids "The only stupid question is the one you don't ask."

Kids will make you eat your words.

Brushes are much like stamps in the scrapping world...but in a program using a brush you can change the size of it... hope that helps ya understand them a little...and yes you need a program that will install the brushes and there are soooo many free ones out there and they arent that hard to make either.
