    Red face Hi

    Hi Scrrapbook max community!

I am new to the board
I am a High School Teacher and also the Year Book Advisor.

This year I have decided to do something different. I want to make the whole year one big book made of various digital scrap books.

I am looking for ideas with themes for friends, sports, graduation, partying, etc.

If any one has any suggestions, I would really appreciate all of your help!

    Thanks so much!

Check out the threads under Embellishments and Templates. I think last time I looked there were 80 pages of freebies you could download and more than a few are about sports, friends, graduation.....

Hi Dern, welcome to the forum!

I suggest you create a folder under "My Documents", and save every thing to that. Some embies will go directly to Max, but most are pngs or jpgs. Putting them in My Documents will make it easy to drag directly from the folder to Max, which is faster and easier than opening them in the program itself. It also makes it very easy to backup, for safe keeping.

Hope this helps. If not, keep on asking, and it will be answered!!!

Marion , Steve, Moonbeam, Ladybug, Wolvsie, Fourfoxes, Vanessa, PinkLollipop and Winnie49 are my buddies!!!

Some do. If they are an .smt file, they will download themselves to the templates and if it says .smb it will download to the embellishments part of Scrapbook Max. I always save the file to my desktop first so I can put them on a cd for safekeeping and then double click on the file on my desktop and they automatically download to where they are supposed to go. Then I move the file off my desktop to a file under My Documents>Scrapbooking>SBM> and then to whichever person shared the freebie. I have a designer file for everyone who shares on this site. Wolvsie recommended adding another file for colors so you don't have to search every file if you just want something in blues and yellows. Also, many other websites offer freebies and I save a file for every website, too. These I just keep in their files as they won't download automatically to Scrapbook Max. But if you click on the heart, or paper scrap, in the lower left corner it says Browse. Click on it and follow the trail to the file you want and click on whichever paper or embellishment you want to use and it will appear on the page you are working on. Or just drag from the file directly over the page you are working on.Hope this helps.

For the ones that just have a thumbnail, right click on the picture, choose save target as, and save under that designers file. After a while, you get so many things that you can't remember who you got what from. I still have some things I don't have filed correctly from where I just started downloading like crazy....<remembering that "OMG here's another beautiful one... and it's FREE?" feeling I got when I started this 2 months ago>.......and some I can't remember who to thank. I try to keep better tabs on things, now.

Saw this while I was looking around in the Booster Pack store. Granny, who so nicely answered your question in this thread, has a very cute "little red school house" template kit and booster pack. You can find it here:

    Thought you might like it.
