Default Merry Merry (I think not)

Well I started the week off by buying a real Christmas tree. It has been a few years since I had a real one and since both kids will be home this year I thought (that was my first mystake) why not. So the tree arrives one day and I am unable to find it the next day. Finally we had a warm day today and what should appear (no, not tiny raindeer) my christmas tree under four feet of snow. Now I know that there will be more of that wonderful white stuff coming our way so I figured I best bring the tree inside. A friend loaned me her tree stand, which looks like a flying saucer. Well in order to bring the tree inside I first half to cover my hardwood floor with plastic to protect it from getting scratched. I was proud of myself, I really prepared. So with a smile on my face I lugged the five foot (100lb is what it felt like) tree in the livingroom. To be continued....

Ok the tree in my living room lying on its side. The tree stand (flying saucer) is suppose to be put on this way. Now I watch Bob Veli, Norm and off course Tim the tool man, so out comes my little tool box. I have no idea why but it just felt right. I put my flying saucer on and screw it in real tight even using plyers. I was so proud. With gloves on I lift this beautiful tree up wright. Perfect.....whow am I impressed. So I decide to fill the stand with water and let the tree settle. On goes the Christmas music and my day is going great. About an hour later...while sitting on the thrown....I hear a loud crash and the dog runs down the hall to the bedroom yelping her head off. My heart stops.....did someone break in. What to do next. Be brave I tell myself. So with plunger in hand I slowly go down the hall.......Continued

Mean while ,I am asking the dog to come with me, but she is so far under the bed that later I had to move it to get her out. Finally there it is. That perfect tree on the floor with about a gallon of water spilling out of the dam flying saucer. But do I get upset.....now way....its Christmas....So I lift the tree again and feel satisfied that it will stay..and it did for about five minutes. Well folks after five more tries I learned one thing. That flying saucer tree stand really works. When I through it out the door it flew fifty feet in the air before landing...Please can any one of you help me....what do I do now....I tried to call Bob Veli but he wouldn't take my call....Free turkey to any one who can solve my problem....Lois.....Smile.....I think not...

How about getting one of those hole diggers and digging a hole in the floor and just putting the tree in that...hammer some nails in the trunk to the floor and WALA....lol
or you can put it back outside and pretend you never found it in the first place.....hahaha
