Question about Cropping

Is there anyway to crop a paper scrap into a triangle. I don't use any other program, and I am having a hard time using zippers, because I can't figure out how to crop the paper to get a different color for the open part of the zipper.

I don't think the crop tool here does anything but rectangle. Could be wrong but I dont get any option to change the shape. What I would suggest is using a "shape". There should be a triangle in your shapes somewhere.

if you save it as a photo and double click on it then do the change the shape, there is a shape folder called shapes made for mask, that has triangles in it.
