Editing name

When I first signed on I used part of my email as my login name. Is it possible to change it to something easier and friendlier? I'd really like to use a better name!

You'd need to sign up again in order change your username.

Don't worry, if you decide to change your user name, we'll still recognize you by your great avatar!!!
You could even re-introduce yourself!

This was the only post I found on changing user names and I am also having name change problems. I tried to create a new name and was stopped when I tried to reuse my email. I don't want to change my email. There has to be a simplier solution. Any advice for me?
