have a cd with small samples of texture and backgrounds help needed please

how do i use the small samples to make background papers in say 8x8 with out them becoming to pixalated some of the samples are maybe only 3x4 but are so pretty.

If you are using a small texture/paper scrap as your background, you can try using "Tile" option on the background. That will look better than stretching a small image if it was designed as a "seamless" tile.
