    Thumbs up Many Thanks

Hi gang. I just wanted to say thank you to all you people that offer so many lovely designs, templates and embellishments. I just got back from a trip to Texas to see my daughter and grandkids, and spent some time this morning seeing what everyone has done. I must admit that I snagged quite a few things. Now.......to make time to actually do some things for me.

Thanks for the welcome back. I had a wonderful time near Dallas, Texas with my daughter and two grandkids. Due to my getting the time wrong, we missed our plane out. But Southwest Airlines staff were wonderful and got us to Dallas just 3 hrs later than we had planned. Although we had to fly to 5 airports to get there. Drew is 6 yrs old; Jamie is 3. Grandkids are wonderful, aren't they? We took the kids to the Fort Worth zoo (one of the best in the USA) and to a safari reserve where the animals come up to the car. I really enjoyed San Antonio where we rode a boat along the River Walk. So lovely. San Antonio is called "The Venice of the Americas".

As for seeing what I make with what I snagged, it will have to wait. I have to work on and finish a paper scrapbook that someone is paying me to do. I'll never do another one for money. I just don't like to do it that way. I'd rather give albums as gifts to family and friends. I really want to get going with the digital albums too and use the lovely items I snagged. Such talent we have here.

Verleen sounds like you had a wonderful time down here. I am just out side of Ft Worth. We been having flooding and tornado last week (NOT MY HOUSE) We have had a 2 year drought out here and now flooding. glad you missed it. suppose to rain all week .
I also love the Ft Worth zoo I try to get there year pass and take my grandkids. they love it.
did you get to any of the art museums there Kimble is my favorite. did you see the wild animal park out side Ft Worth or San Antonio We live not to far from the one here.
Glad you had fun visiting my state.

Mint, no I didn't know about the one near your house. I did see signs for the one down near San Antonio. We went to the Fossil Rim Safari Park near Rose Glen. We had plans to go to the Dinosaur Valley State Park, but never did make it there. The rains filled up the creek bed and covered the dinosaur tracks.

I was actually still in Texas when the bad storms and tornados were going on. I was watching the news, but they never came close to us. My daughter lives in Rowlett, which is northeast of Dallas. My daughter just emailed me about all the forecasted rain. Well its good for you to get all this rain, considering the drought that has been going on. It would have been better to get it more gradually......lol. Verleen
