    Default Congrats Buddy

Julie, the article is fabulous! I tried to leave a comment but I wasn't able to figure that out either!

Just to tell you that I loved your pages. The storey is incredable. I know your neighbor is plesed with the album you did. It's such a tribute to him and his story.

    Way to go Girl!!!

    Julie,

Just caught up with this - what great L/O's, so well done. The story is quite fascinating and makes for enjoyable reading. Jean certainly appears the suave, swashbuckling hero in his photographs.

I have an uncle who also has an 'extraordinary' story from the war (not to be competitive, simply that...) like your neighbour, he also keeps his story sheltered, never opening the door on the subject and, often saying little or nothing when others do. A sign (to me) of true selflessness and humility.

These are men to be admired and you have shown heartfelt admiration.

    My kindest regards,

    Terry.

    Smile Terry:

Thank you so much, Terry! It was a pleasure to create this album - I also just finished typing his memoir for him and his family. It is such a story - his recall of details is just amazing! Thanks again and I'm so glad you enjoyed the album!

You're welcome - the album actually had lots of pages - some of them had personal information so I didn't put them online. If you want to read more about these heros you can google Violette Szabo and get lots of hits - Also, if you google SOE World War II - there's lots of information about this group that eventually loosened Hitler's grip on France and liberated Paris and Limoges! Thank you for enjoying it!!!
