I loved smile's comments..she summed up everything I think all of us feel..
Andrew is doing good..he had a good week last week also...his allergeys seem to be better and he's not having to be suctioned as much..Have to share this with you all..Andrew makes this , for want of a better word...snorting sound...kinda like when you need to blow your nose and dont have a tissue...but louder..usually when he made it you had to suction him or give him a breathing treatment..but we started noticing that when we talk to him and then stop..or leave the room...or move away from the bed..he will make that noise..and there isn't anything wrong with him..sometimes when we walk thru his room and say something to the nurse he starts snorting... we have decided it is his new way of
communicating with us..he used to cry out with this funny sound..like when we turned him or messed with him but he stopped doing that a long time ago..now he snorts..he will try to bring his eyes to focus on us.. sometimes he makes it.. most times not..and he makes this noise not all the time but a good bit...we havent gotten the smiles again but we do get to hear a noise from him from time to now and that makes us happy...he was 15 on March 27th..doesnt seem possible that he has been this way for 13 years..on the day he got hurt they told us he would not make it thru the night...hes a fighter..always was and always will be...and he continued to prove his doctors wrong.then..and now...hes a big boy but in my mind he is still 27 months old..I see him but my brain sees him as a baby..
he will always be a baby to me...
Big huggs to everyone..love you all Linda
