about elements

Hi, sorry if this question was asked before, I checked but could not find it. I have downloaded some great looking templates from the gallery, thanks to all.

While I like the pages etc, I really would like to use the elements on them on my own pages. I notice that when I go the embelishments folder, these elements do not automatically show up there. Am I missing a step?

How can I create my own index (folder) of 'favorite' embelishments etc. (elements).

As far as I can tell when you save a template it does not save the elements of the layout into separate folders. You can, however, copy an embellishment from one project to another. So that's one way to use the different elements from a downloaded template.

Also, I'll bet if you asked whoever made the layout to make the individual embellishments available for download so you could save them to a special folder, they would be happy to do it. It seems that scrappers are very willing to share!

I was reviewing the 'nice to have' list of the members here and I did notice someone asking for a similar funciton in upcoming releases so I am hopeful.
In the meantime, I will use the method you suggested.
