I'm not sure I'm following exactly what you want to do, but each page must have a background, be it white or blue or an image or something. If you simply want to use Scrapbook MAX! to create embellishments or neat looking photos for use in your traditional paper scrapbooks, you can certainly do that. I'd recommend that you leave the page background white, and when you print out your page on white paper, it's effectively transparent. You can then cut out the parts you want using scissors!
