Three Newbie Questions

I have been literally sitting here all day AMAZED at everything in this software and on the forums (and I of course had to buy the software!!!).

My first question is this: How do you work with templates from other websites I download such as from www.oscraps.com? I download them but don't understand how I can use them. They don't seem tp pull up into the "new" when I want to start a new page.

Second question: What is the embellishment maker?

Third question: Is there a reason why some of the layouts I download from the forums on this site let me edit them and others do not? For example, oe I was able to move the objects around on the page but another one it wouldn't let me. Am I doing something wrong?

The files on the site that you mentioned are "zip" files. You must "unzip" them into a folder... Chances are these templates are .png or .jpg files, you can then drag and drop these files directly into SBM or import them using the "Embellishment" icon.

The Embellishment Maker is actually a tool for designers to "package" their files into a SMB booster pack.

The layout depends on the person who built it. Some people "lock" their objects. You can unlock an object by right-clicking on it and selecting "Unlock"

Have you solved my mystery Steve. I have a folder that is empty in SM saying sm embellishments. Max said there is no such thing. Is this where it has come from?

That's news to me, Eng... It could be from a content pack that someone built...
