Can I take my scrapbook pages and print them out at walmart? How do I know what size to do?
I've printed 12x12 two ways. First is to either download your page to costco or take it in on cd or flah drive...If you use costco you have to put layout on 12x18 paper and size it to 12x12. The cost is $3.99 and can be done in a liitle over an hour. The other way is to e-mail layout to a local kinkos and ask for 11x17...you'll have to resize image to 11x11 and the paper is thin laser paper, not like costco's photo paper but it only costs $1.79. I've had the best luck at costco, the process is kind of trial and erroe but once you do it a couple of times its easy...plus beats the cost of buying a wide format printer(?). Hope this helps.
No do not go to wall mart as they do not do a good job. Ask me after trying all sizes and getting them back with cut off heads etc. Try our Scrapbook Max they do a great job as I have tried them and they are at reasonible prices.I was afraid to try but once I did I will always use them.![]()
Some of us can't use Scrapbook Max grrrrrrrr!
I’ve found an affordable way to print 12x12 pages.
I've gotten samples from Scrapbooks 2 Share (sbtoshare.com). The samples were very good, and cost about $1.75 ea, plus $5 shipping per order (I think.) However, I'm very picky about my photos, and the photos on the page just aren't as good as ones I have developed at my local photo store.
So I tried an online photo developer (fotki.com). Because these are actually photos, the whole scrapbook page is on photo paper (archival paper and ink). The photos on these layouts are every bit as good as photos from my local photo store, especially the one on glossy paper. The cost is $2.50 ea, plus $2 shipping per order. You must also be a member at $30/year to be able to send big enough files that will print out high quality at the 12x12 size. The catch is this: I had to print on 11x14 paper. To keep from having parts of my layout cropped off in the printing, I designed my page at
11Hx12W. When I was done designing the page, I then had SBM change the size of my page to 11Hx14W, telling it 'no' when it asked if it should re-arrange my page to fit the new size. It simply extends the background paper to 2 inches wider. I sent it online to Fotki to print as an 11Hx14W. When I received it back, I just cut off the extra 2 inches from the side. I put it into my plastic protector, and I have an 11x12 page. Not quite 12x12, I know, but I can live without that extra inch of height.
I also received samples from ezprints.com. (They are also excellent, but I think Fotki's colors are closer to what I saw on my computer screen.) I did the same thing with them as I did with Fotki, as far as the size of my pages. Their cost is $3.47 ea, with $2 shipping per order. I see they also have 12x12 (they call them panorama prints) for $4.50 ea. I'm not sure it's worth an extra $2 per page to me to get that extra 1" height.
Just a note regarding all 3 printer places: You have to lighten up the pictures you're putting into your layout. They print darker than what you see on your screen.
I'm really excited about this! I can have all the flexiblity of digital scrapbooking, yet still get as high of quality photos on my pages as I've been using on my paper pages
Check out this site if you are looking for a scrapbook page printer. It was recomended to me by a fellow scrapbooker and designer and I was very satisfied with the results and the costs. They do multiple sizes etc.

I've been using www.memorymixer.com/printservice. They do a great job and they really understand scrapbooking as they are associated with lasting impressions that has been in the traditional scrapbooking business for years.
I have used winkflash.com They have very good picture quality (actual photo paper). They offer 10x13 but not 12x12. You need to create the page as 10x 13 then not put anything on the extra inch. They are cheaper than scrapbook max. It is only 3.39 per page (only .12/4x6 photo) and the pictures/pages arrive about 3 days later. I love their service and quality and pricing but wish they offered the 12x12 size.
Another good thing about winkflash.com is that they store your pictures or jpeg scrapbook pages for free forever. I always have thought it would be terrible if my house burnt down there would be no way to recreate my albums that I put so much time and love into. If they were destroyed I could just order the pages again.![]()
