    OK so this month I'd like to do a RECIPE CHALLENGE, but before you get started, no it's not about food or cooking. This challenge is a prescribed recipe that you must follow to do your layout. So it could more be called Mix n Match I guess. And it goes like this - for each part of the recipe you need to add up the numbers of your date of birth or age to come to the lowest number possible, eg if you were born in 1976 the year part of your recipe would be #5 paper/binder clip and if the month of your birth is 6 your inspiration would be your dream job.

    I'll be back with mine soon

          ok i'm a bit confused but let me see if I got mine correctly :

          birth date: 9/30/1976
          Age: 37

          So is my birth year is 76 i should be using #5 paper/binder clip
          the month of my birth is 9 i should be using #9 past time
          About the other two I am not sure lol pls enlighten me of this challenge

            So letha add up 1966 = 21 then add 2+1 = 3. So your YEAR = ribbon
            Your month is august = 8 the month = season
            Day is 17 1+7=8 so you use only 3 words
            Age is 48 so add 4+8=12. So add 1+2=3 any pattern

            I think I have that right? So my guess is you do a page about 1 season, you can only use three words in it, any pattern you like and it must have a ribbon........?

            Sassy you might have to come in and clarify please.

                So just to clarify a little more you keep adding your dates together until you get a single figure, then you use that single figure as the number .

                Eg. 1962= 1+9+6+2=18.....this number is too big so I add 1+8=9 so I use 9 as my YEAR number
                If I am 51 I add 5+1=6....this number I use as my AGE number

                Etc

                  yours would be

                  month = 8
                  year = 4 (1+9+6+6= 22 then 2+2 =4)
                  age = 3 (4+8=12 then 1+2 =3)
                  day = 8 (1+7=8)

                  if it isn't in the scrapbook it didn't happen!

                      Thank you for the clarification. Three more questions Sassy. Are these the only items we are to put on a layout? What about a background paper? Can we use other papers and embies to finish the layout?

                            there really should only be what the "recipe" calls for but you can use anything in your own recipe as many times as you like but for this one I'm happy to see you ADD to your recipe so long as you don't add anything that's already mentioned on the recipe cards eg if your age means you have to use a solid paper, you can't use any of the other 8 on the card but you could use a floral paper in addition to the solid .. make sense?

                            oh AND you MUST put your recipe card numbers when you post your l layout
