Because I have to start over I really want to do things better this time. How to you organize kits,shapes,papers and embellishments. Also the best way to back them up?

Firstly i back up generally once a month my kits and scrap pages onto an external hard drive...I would cry if I lost them all.
The more I amass I organize thenm into the designer. For instance as I am a CT for KapiScraps and Moonbeam here on SBM, all their kits go into their named files.
I don't really reorganise the way the designers arrange their kits
I keep all my scrapbooking things in one folder in my pictures section on my hard drive, then divide in there, eg scrap pages, scrapbook kits, CT folder...
