tiling backgrounds that do not save tiled

So, I have to admit this is the first time this has happened to me, but I tiled my background image, and layered the same papers on top (not tiled obviously) and completed my layout. When saving my page as a JPEG, the file did not tile the background. the picture shows up as the regular, original background, no tiling, however, in the actual layout in Scrapbookmax, it is shown as tiled. Not sure how to fix this or if anyone else had this issue before.
    Thanks for your help!

      Tina,

      I will have a look.

Yes, it can happen. LOL. I never use this feature :-) Have you tried with another dotted papers of the same kit? Sorry... Very busy. I hadn't a chance to have a look yet.

So i got it to work finally. Not really sure what was different. I changed the background and tiled it, and the same problem happened, then I came back to my original background, and this time it worked. Weird! but yeah, if anyone experiences this too - then try changing your paper and changing it back! Cheers!

Is there any chance that you could post screen shots of what is happening/going wrong and what exact steps you are taking in each case? Thanks!

              Hello Karin!

In fact when the page is exported, the background isn't tiled... whereas it's within Scrapbook MAX.

But honnestly that's not a real issue as I don't use this feature :-)

              Thank you.

Karin, It is doing it again
what I do exactly is that background under settings, I click the image as tiled. Then to save, I save as image. From there it is email/web, JPG, and I name it. The background in the actual SBM layout is tiled, but the JPG is not! I would only have an example of the non-tiled background page, as the tiled image is in the scrapbook in the software.
Please help. the look of the layout just is not the same ;(

                  Hello!

You mean that it looks tiled on your page when you're working in Scrapbook MAX!, but it doesn't output that way as a .jpg. etc? (Correct? - want to make sure I got that right...)

I'll check into it and see if I can figure it out - thanks!

                      Hi tin tin,

I've tested this out and I see what you're talking about. Thanks for pointing out this problem. We've actually not had anyone point this out after several years of the software being available and tens and thousands of installs.

A workaround could be to use a paper scrap as your background. So, add the scrap, stretch it to fit the page, and then right-click and choose Lock to lock it in place as your background.

                        Thanks Karin,
it is strange, cause it will work sometimes, and then not others. weird.
I love the tiling feature for backgrounds. it looks so sharp with lined paper, or polkadots and then layering the same paper overtop in a shape. Really cool 3D look.

I work around this issue by saving my tiled background as a PNG file and then bringing it back in. I never thought of turning this in as a bug. It would be great to have it fixed.
