    Days Gone By Mask

Hello , I recently purchased Days Gone By Mask by Carena. Can someone tell me how to use these mask. Do You crop them? Do you put them in first? last? before or after the picture? Do you transparentize them? I know they can't be that difficult. Help! I need some step by step instuctions.

    Hi!

You should use them as the *standard* shapes.

For instance double click on a photo or a paperscrap... the properties dialog box will be displayed... you then check the box Custom shapes and browse to the desired mask.

    Hope that it helps.

      Thanks Sandrine.
Judifa - as above for photos but also you can use the shapes to do paper overlays. Bring in a paper as you would a photo and use the mask/shape on it as a shape. You can leave it full 100% as is but also can get some great results if you lower the opacity.

Thanks, I'll try that. I have lots of old family pictures and thought the mask might work well with some, but I've reached a "scrapping block" or something. Nothing I put together seems to look right.lol Oh well so much for digital scrapbooking, I guess it's back to scissors and glue.

I get the scrapping block too...then I try and stay away for a week. You need inspiration no stress or stuff that makes you think to much. You have to get focused on just scrapping. Please do not give up on digital yet!!

Oh no - not the aweful scissors and glue. LOL. Try browsing the gallery for ideas and do something similar (scrap lifting) - it always works for me. Yes, even for me a designer - I love to find inspiration from the gallery. Hope it helps the block.
