Welcome to The Groove's Monthly Freebie Challenge!
Each month, we feature a great freebie mini-kit and a scrapbooking challenge.
All you need to do is download the freebie to make your challenge pages. Then, create a layout (or layouts) that steps up to the challenge, upload it to the
Groove Newsletter Challenges gallery and post a link to your layout in a reply to this thread.
Details about this month's freebie and challenge hosted by Sandrine Boarqueiro-Verdun are below!
The Challenge
With this addon, you will have to make two layouts.
First layout
Make a page with:
· at least six of the nine embies included in the addon
· the frame (KapiScrap_FunCity_embie9)
· at least two of the three papers
You can use the embies as well as the papers as many times as you want. You should write a text along a circle. Please don’t modify the colors of the embies and the papers.
How to write a text along a circle with Scrapbook MAX?
Select the menu Object -> Ribbon Text
Type your text
Set the font, the character spacing…
Then select the Advanced tab and check this option: Connect endpoints and click OK.
Your text will appear on your design space with 3 points… you should remove the second point to create a circle… Right click on the second point then it will disappear and you will get a perfect circle.
If you want to have the text along all the circle, increase the size of the font and/or increase the character spacing option.
To resize the “circle” you should select the text, press the shift key and with the mouse you can resize it.
Second Layout
Make a page with:
· at least seven of the nine embies included in the addon
· at least two of the three papers
· one photo or two photos BUT you should add one of your photos in a photo mask
You can use the embies as well as the papers as many times as you want.
What’s a mask?
It’s a shape with different levels of transparency or decorative borderlines. To find shapes, click on a paper or photo, then choose Change Shape and Custom Shape on the Properties Box.
