backgrounds and using shapes

I have a question regarding the background paper and making shapes of them.

When you click on a blank page it will have a box saying background image and select. So you select the paper you want from a kit. Ok that is fine I can do that, but there is no-where where it says “custom shape” so you can use the shape tool to make the background different.

Now this is a kit that I purchased..from scrap book max, but when I go to my computer © program files, scrapbook max 2, then gallery, images...well the kit isn't there. I thought if I could go there and get the files up I can just drop and use as a paper scrap, THEN use the shape tool, but I can't find where they are!

I hope this makes sense, and HOPE someone can help me

Hello!

No you can't apply a shape on the "background" ie I mean when you use the described feature...

What you can do if you want to apply a shape to the "background paper".... then you have 2 options:
1 - Add your paper as a photo... and then select the shape
or
2 - Add your papier as a paperscrap

Regarding your second question...

The purchased kits are stored here:

C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Scrapbook MAX! 2.0\Gallery\Images\

in different subfolders: Embellishments, Backgrounds...

The ones which are in the Program Files dir are the ones included in the SBM Expansion Packs.
