How do I?

I want to create a template using multiple photos so that I can use the template in the future without having to recreate it every time. I just want the template not the same photos. I know I use "clear image" to get the gray box where I can just double click and get a new photo. But how do I save the template to use in the future? For instance, if I have nine grayed out boxes all lined up that I want to use in the future. Once I have the template created, how do I go about saving it? I hope this makes sense to someone. I don't know how else to explain it. Thanks...
