Looking to make my wedding invitations but need a good adhesive for the embellishment

I am planning to make my own wedding invitations using my Cricut cutter. I don't care if they look homemade, but using good old fashioned elmers isn't going to cut it. I don't want the paper wrinkling and I don't want glue everywhere. What kind of adhesive should I use to stick my paper embellishments on that won't look "tacky" (ha..ha)

for most thing i use an acid free stick glue, will that be strong enough?

You can get little square blocks ---like a two way tape that is acid free.That is what I use.
