    The Font Thing

Can anyone tell me how I'm able to make use of the characters which are NOT associated with keyboard strokes...!!!***!!!

    Am I making sense...???

On the attached image you'll see that the top symbols are associated to keys on my keyboard but from '127' onwards they are not.

How can I use these symbols within my software....

    ANY help would be appreciated.

      Hi

These are extended character sets. You need to try this:
      • Open a journal or caption box
      • Select appropriate font, eg Fish in the Bathroom
      • Hold down Alt key, keep it pressed down
      • While holding it down, type in zero, then the number

      for example:

      Alt + 0140

I love being in the 'shire'. I'm not a native but my husband is. I lived in Norfolk much of my adult life - hated it, never felt settled. When I moved here it was like coming home. The only thing I miss is the sea, but you can't have everything. I sure don't miss the road system.

                Happy scrapping - FS xx

Mary, any character that you need that is not included in the normal keyboard characters can be accessed as you would normally access ASCII characters (Alt+0+character number).

By the way folks from trial and error - The Font Thing does not work in Vista (Boo hoo - I love this programme and have had to transfer to Nexus).

Mary what is that font that you have displayed in your screenshot. Looks great
