Can someone help me out, please?

I've downloaded some of the freebie kits (smb files) and they seem to download with no problem; but, I can't find them. They aren't appearing in my Scrapbook Max Template page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello!

Scrapbook MAX! template files end in .smt

If the kit you downloaded ends in .smb, then it is an embellishment kit. You should find your kit under Object > Embellishment. (depending on what the kit contained, elements from .smb kits might also be under Object> Paper Scraps, or in the Shapes or Backgrounds categories.)

Thanks for the solution to my problem. Now I don't have to throw my computer out the window!

Another hint is before you close the dialogue page, click on the details. If the files have gone into different folders, you can find out there. Sometimes people use the same .smb file to place them into the different gallery images. If in doubt, go to the galleries by using you Windows Explorers, change the view to details and then resort according to the date, it will bring up the new added files on the top.
