My son went to play with the neighbors on Sat. for a few hours and ended up in a bad tackle in American football and broke his hand pretty bad. I feel sort of guilty as I enjoyed the house to myself while I was doing the scrapathon :S

I know there is nothing to do about it but I am so nervous for him. The surgeon looked at the x-rays today and scheduled an operation for Wed. morning. He did a spiral fracture and his pinky finger is at an outward angle.

Ya know. I had enough guts to ask for the xray and scrapped it Sunday for the NDSD scrapathon lol! It actually made an ok LO.

And would you believe they are forecasting a major snowstorm for Friday? yuk!

Crystal: Sorry to hear about your son. They can do so much with surgery now adays and the young heal pretty fast. I wish him luck. He must have thought that you had gone nuts asking for the xrays to "scrap". We bunch of scrappers are scarry...lol....xoxoxoxo

Thank you all for the well wishes for my kiddo. We are now leaving for the hospital. I will keep you posted as soon as I know anything.

Crystal I will pray that everything goes well with your son. I will be thinking of you all day and hoping things come out good. You have had to deal with some really tough things this year and things can only get better for you from here on out.

all is well!!!! Glory BE! It was a miracle. They were so sure that he would need the surgery but I am so shocked...in a good way...and relieved that they did not have to put it together with the pins and screws that were anticipated. The doctor in the emergency room, she did an amazing job and he has healed quite a bit already. They put him into a black fiberglass cast this morning. We are home and he is FINE!!! I have to go now as I have federal housing inspections again this afternoon and need to organize a few things a bit better still.
