couple of questions

Hi. Still very new to Scrapbook Max - figuring things out as I go!!!
1) I have a circle frame, when I try to shape my picture into a circle (using the template/shape that comes with SM) to fit the frame it comes out as oval. Any ideas on what is going on?

2) Is there any way I can erase part of my picture? I'm working on a layout with transparent pictures and it would look much better if I could erase part of the picture to give a dreamy look.

welcome to max

1) to make a perfect circle you first need to import a square photo shape - i've attached one that you can use

place this where you want your photo....use the circle crop shape....double click on image and choose a photo to replace the square photo shape

2) try using one of the custom shapes to cut out the edges

Hi I see Fiona is quick off the mark to help. Collect more shapes - use them for shaping papers etc. Makes for much more interesting layouts than just a single paper being used.

Regarding your picture shape coming out oval -- if your picture is not square when you use the circle shape it adjusts the circle to match the shape of your picture and then you end up with an oval shaped picture. If you use the "crop" feature in Scrapbook Max (SBM) first to adjust the picture size to be square, then use the circle shape in SBM it will be a circle instead of an oval.
