For Everyone wondering about Jazz

Just thought I would let everyone that has been wondering about Jazz missing in action know what's going on. Jazz's computer picked up a virus. One of her grandsons clicked on a pop up window that said her computer was infected and proceeded to download a virus!! It looked authentic to him saying it was antivirus 2008 and it scanned her computer and found a virus and click button to remove. Well it got her! She struggled with it for a week and finally decided to reformat her computer and put things back. Well according to her the recovery disk she has for her puter removes everything and puts it back to the way it was with default factory settings. Now I don't really know how the recovery disk works, but it didn't work for her and now her computer won't even boot up. All she gets is a white screen and that's it. So now it has to go into the shop and she doesn't have the money right now. Her grandson is going to take it into the shop for her this weekend when he gets paid and see if they can fix it for her. She just got this new computer this summer and it's a shame that this had to happen to her. But that's why she has been missing in action and she sends everyone her love.

Thanks Pk.: I called her about two weeks ago on the telephone. I was down at my cottage with Eye and we decided to call her. I love the way she talks and she said that we talked funny.......... lol She sounded so good and she also had her little grandaughter with her. I sure hope they can fix her computer. I will be crossing my fingers for you Jazz and you just might get another call this weekend.......xoxoxoxoxoxo

Pkdoll, if she has the factory disk it should have rebooted. Only problem is it will reboot back to factory settings and if the virus or spyware is bad enough it will reboot with it. Which sounds like what happened. I had the same problem a couple years ago.
She can try rebooting it again, or find a way to get to a computer and go on line to get the info she needs to get it to reboot (from the factory web site). That was what I ended up having to do when it happened to me a couple years back.
Sure do miss seeing her on here and glad to hear that she is doing well out side of computer problems.

Paula, tell her I am feeling for her..You already know I have a computer whiz here...lol..and my kids did the same thign on theie computer...Here is what happens, you will get a pop up saying your computer is infected...and it looks legit cause it says the info is from Windows...Don't click anything but the X button..If you click yes or even no to tell it to clean the virus's. your computer is badly infected...Don't let this one get to you too...There is alot of info on this virus by doing a gogle search on the Windows 2008 Virus....
