Downloading Templets Question

I have been trying to download new templets and they seem to take forever at first it says how long it will take and then it starts down loading and after a few minutes it just stops. Am I doing something wrong? I don't mind having to wait at least 10 min to download something but when it just stops doing everything I have been getting really frustrated. Another question - I downloaded a file from another site. When I went to use it, in smb all the pages came up in 1 page. How to I seperate those pages- anyone know? thanks for all the help in advance!

Are you on a dial-up connection? If so, that could be part of the problem. Larger files sometimes become corrupt when downloading over dialup.

To separate those images you downloaded all you need to do is crop them. Go to Effects > Crop.

There's nothing special you have to do in order to download the templates. It could be that your connection is timing out, for whatever reason. Are the files downloaded completely (ie can you use the smb files in SBMAX), or are they incomplete?

Did you download a .smb / .smt file? Other files (.jpg / .png / etc.) are image files ... when you download those, you have to add them individually to the pages, and if you want a new page, you have to create a new page.

Yes I have dial up I know its ancient, but I'm not sure which way I want to go with that. I need to do more research and find out if cable is the way to go or through the phone.
The download does not complete, it stays on for (ex.) 41% downloaded and 3min 40sec to go. Neither of them move.
I thought it was my computer but when they are small files and it doesn't take long I have no problems. Thanks for the help!-- I guess I'm going to have to decide pretty quick if I want to be downloading those templates.

Yes Sandy that does sound like a great idea about cropping them, Now Why didn't I think of that Brain Freeze in July.

I saw on one of these thread I think it was one of Steves. He had a go to site that you can download templates from SBM. I went to it and now I can't find it. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
