Help with templates

how are what do I need to do in order to be able to use a blank template in PNG in SBM ?

Is there anything I can do with this PNG file format of a blank template , where I can use it in SBM and it will allow me to add color to the template where is needed ? Like a template in SBM with the smt on the end.
Not a qp template, but a blank template.
