Speaking Of Rosie!!!

You all remember the story about the little girl Rosie who we did the Charity kit for? (It's still available in the store at an AMAZING price, by the way, if you have not yet checked it out.)

I got this update today from her mother and wanted to share it with you. Because of the proceeds of the charity kit, they have been able to keep therapy going at the pace that she needed and it has HELPED SO MUCH!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who purchased the kit and encourage others to do so if you've not done it already!!!

And a BIG HUGE THANK YOU to SBM for donating ALL THE PROCEEDS to Rosie's cause!!!

"Rosie is doing great. She turned five years old earlier this month. Her language is developing as she has recently started speaking in full sentences about 70% of the time! She is putting together new words, not just her standard phrases. The big thing that she has just started recently is singing. Up until now she would only sing twinkle twinkle with us when we sang it before bed but the other day she spontaneously started singing in the car and she even made up new words to the tune she was singing. That kind of complex thinking and verbalization is huge for her. I took her to a new doctor that has experience with Autism and the biomedical approach to treatment this past Monday. I think we are going to go that route for awhile and see what results we get. I had her evaluated for ABA and have slowly started to implement it in our daily routine. ABA is Applied Behavior Analysis. It's a form of therapy that helps target area's that the person is having trouble in. She will go to pre-k one more year since I don't think she is ready for kindergarten. She has come so far it is amazing."

It is great to hear some wonderful news. I purchased the kit and have wondered about Rosie. It is a beautiful kit at a great price for a good charity. Thank you to all the designers.
