She is still logged in and it still says she is sending a message. Does she have a program for spam??

I assume that you mean one individual is sending out spammed messages. If so, you should be able to trace through her ISP address and have her shut down. I haven't had any thank goodness.

There's no current way of reporting spam in PM's ... short of forwarding the message to a moderator.

If you do find yourself spammed in your personal messages, please forward the message to either Karin or Desmond.

                    Thanks!
                    Desmond.

P.S. We're aware of this current spam message ... so no need for everyone to forward it in!

WOW! I too received the spam. I didn't know what to do about it-but now I do. Thank you Karin and Desmond for telling us how to handle this. Oh my! I feel so violated.

May I ask how you 'define' is a spam mail? At least if someone receive again or myself, will know is not a 'normal members' mail. Tks.

It is unwanted, unsollicited mail, it looks suspicious in the content well I think it is something like that.

If you have ever had a MSN email address in the past you will know what spam is. Sorry guys but MSN mailboxes were notorious for not having spam filters - I think they have now improved the system. Spam is email sent to you by someone that you do not know who wants something from you and can contain anything from pornography to advertising to even trying to obtain your bank details by false pretences. The horrible thing about spam is that you cannot always tell by the title of your email that you are being spammed. The people sending it sometimes put things like "Hi from Sue" or something like that in the title bar so that anyone who doesn't suspect a thing will open the email. The last thing that you do is REPLY to the email. If you do so, the person who sent it in the first place will know that your email address is active and will sell it on and you will literally be inundated with unsolicited and unwanted mail. The rule of thumb is if you don't know who it is from, don't open it, BIN it.
