Default I can see it coming my way...

It's probably a train coming to get me, but I can always dream that it's a lap top instead. I do have one important question before I take the plunge and cash in all my cans, bread the piggy bank open, and run to the store.

Those of you who use PSP, have you had any big problems with Vista and filters and plugins? I heard girls in other forums talking about this, and there ain't no way I'm going to get that worthless Vista if it messes up my filters. I got 1,000 of them.

Any comments? Thanks for your help.

Granny, I heard many complaints about people who have vista because they do have problems with many programs, it seems to be a terrible one.

Ya... Granny , I also heard alot of 'rumour' that vista is not so good. As most software co. need time to design a new version that will be 'vista compatible' . Some even switch back to their window xp after using vista for a while and have problem downloading. Just my point of view thought . The rest is up to your decision. (If myself I may wait for a while longer ). Take care .

Don't know what computer you plan to buy, but Dell lets you request XP instead of Vista since there is so many complaints about Vista.

OK I gotta say from a techy viewpoint there are a LOT of good things about Vista. Vista has a lot of features which will allow you to use your computer more safely and securely as well as some really neat features. A lot of the problem with Vista is software companies that do not want to rewrite software to meet the new code and security requirements. One of the major changes is for a long time software companies have required you the user to be an administrator of your computer in order to do a LOT of things they wanted/needed for you to do <like install, etc> but to be an administrator is a very dangerous thing IF you ever get a virus, etc. Vista will not automatically make you an administrator and currently you will need to disable or change some security features in Vista to use some software programs that have not been rewritten.

I use Vista. There are a few things I don't like but I really like a lot of things like the extra security built in for my protection. I think it is a step in the right direction. Microsoft released the product before they had enough software companies on board accepting and working with the changes but all will catch up eventually.
