    May Mid-Month Challenge

For May’s Mid-Month Challenge I thought it would be fun to do a recipe challenge! With Memorial Day fast approaching for those of us in the U.S.A., I was hoping that a few new recipes would liven up our picnics. For those of you in other countries, I’m sure you will be able to find an occasion to try out some new recipes. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to pick one of your favorite recipes and scrap it to share with all of us here at SBM. If you want to share more than one, that would be great! I made mine
6 X 4 so it could be printed on photo paper if wanted.

To start us out, I scrapped one of my favorite salads. The combination seems strange, but I have to tell you it is very YUMMY! I used a frame from a kit called Country Picnic by Jannidee of JanniScrapDesigns.

    Happy Scrapping & Cooking!

Guess I'm hungry (don't know when that's not true), so I had to dig right into this one.

Here's a simple, quick and yummy appetizer that has been welcomed at many get togethers.

I've gained 5 lbs. just reading these, but they all sound delicious. Hey Desiab - what is Tony Chachere's spice? Never heard of it. Hope it's easy to find because this recipe sounds sooooo good!

How nice Rosana to have a cook. I love this challenge--and some new recipes!! Yipppeee! I had like 100 different cookbooks at one time~mostly the church cookbooks published from family favorites for fundraising events. But my DH finallly talked me into getting rid of most of them 'cause we had no room for them anymore. So I do have some really awesome recipes!!

Oh you are lucky to have a cook! Many here in USA would love to have that. You are a girl after my own heart. I too like the simple foods of fruits and vegetables along with fish and poultry. However, my husband and children are like yours---they like the red meat and make cooking complicated. You are so far away in distance, but we are close in kindred spirits.
Love to you and your family. Thanks for the recipe.
