August Mid-Month Challenge

The end of summer here in the states is approaching fast. My kids go back to school in 2 weeks (HIP HIP HOORAY!). I’m excited, they are not! I’m looking forward to having time to scrap again. I have not been able to spend nearly the amount of time scrapping as I would like.

This month for the mid-month challenge, I would like to do an Ad Challenge. In looking for inspiration to scrap some pages, I turned to all the magazines I have laying around on my coffee table. I don’t have time to read them, so I may as well use them for scrapping. Every ad is really a layout. Take a look at them sometime and you may get inspired. Here is one I found and the layout it inspired.

Your challenge if you choose to take it is to scour your magazines for an ad that inspires you. Make a mask template for all of us and post it here to share. Don’t forget to post a copy of the ad if you can and your final scrapbook page. Happy Scrapping!

Duck? Duck? Goose!

Here is my entry. I scraplifted a Transition Lens ad. I think the embies and the green background was from the original SBM kit. Thanks to Mumu for the grungy yellow paper accent. I like 8X8 layouts but the text could be moved to the bottom of the page in an 8X10. This is one time the wide shot is very useful. The photo really needs a huge crop to fit the layout.

Marion and Grannywin these are great! Everytime I look at an ad in a magazine now, I'm always thinking "I have pictures that would look good in this layout". Scrappin is always on my mind. Grannywin - would you mind making a gray scale template out of your ad layout to share with all of us? Autisticwonder has the gray papers somewhere here for us, but for the life of me I can't find the link. Can anyone help?
