The gopher I "caught" today as he/she was eating grass in my backyard (wasn't even afraid when the 4 dogs came out to see what I was doing) :)

I just previewed the post and they're not showing as attachments...how do I get them smaller?? I looked through the additional options and don't see it there.

Donna, this has been a wonderful challenge and sorry that I did not get involved in making something. However, there has been so much that I have learned and have a complete book of instructions and notes to use when I find some time to experiment. Have been reading and awe struck with all the amazing things that the readers of this thread have done. Couldn't believe that all of this could be accomplished with SBM. Love using the program for my layouts. However, always went outside of the program to complete special items and shapes.

Many thanks to you in starting and managing this and thanks to all who participated and shared their terrific projects.

You have to "Post Reply" or select "Go Advanced". then above the message block, where it says fonts.....go to the right, just past the smiley face and click on the paperclip. Then a new window will pop up. Browse to your layouts like always and UPLOAD. Then they will appear below under manage attachments. click submit reply and they will appear as smaller attachments.

Here's some more flower paper..... I used a dingbat font this time for the flowers and some textured paper from SBM for the colors. I'm really enjoying this! I've learned sooo much. Thanks Donna! ((hugs)) You're an awesome teacher!!! :D

This Challenge will be available for you all to refer others to see..I'll have to cancel the view site after April..but all the down load links should be good for a few more months!! Oh..and YES..you will still find going outside the program a help and need..So maybe I'll still have a job in the store!! Thanks so much for your kind words! I have been looking at the challenge, but was a bit intimidated since I am still really trying to figure out digital scrapping. After reading the tutorial, and working step by step I was able to make the shape :) YEA! I am planning to play with making shapes more in the future!

Thanks O2B...I had seen it before, but couldn't find it this last time. Must've been my head swimming around trying to figure out this challenge. Thanks to all who posted before me (they were all so nice), seeing your posts really helped (I still haven't had a chance to watch the tut videos).

I know this probably sounds silly, but I really am so very new and still trying to learn the in's and out's of this program. Any help would be appreciated :)

Forgive me..I take so much for granted..Shame on me!! LOL..
The cheat sheets have .smt extension which takes them straight to your template section so you can work on them there. They were too big for single downloads either as jpg or png..They are 8.5x11 letter size for easy printing.. You simply click on the .smt and whala...zip, zam, zoowy!! They go home!! No fuss..

Also the download of the .smb will go STRAIGHT to your SHAPES department when you go to download..or save them to desktop..when you click on them..they will zig, zam, zoowy too!! LOL

Lally...1.5 hours from Charlotte...THAT's TOO COOL!! Hey neighbor!!! LOL!!

What trouble? We were all there once. When you open a NEW scrapbook or open SAVED scrapbook, there are templates already made for you, you just have to pick one. Instead of using the Blank Page. These will be in there.

You will need to open Internet Explorer first and then open the file to view it!

I am reading this thread and on page 13 so far... I have soo much to learn!!

I have read the tutorials you posted and I have a couple of questions, I hope you don't mind my asking...

1. is can you give the name of some of the fonts that have all the cool looking swirly's and shapes?

I looked through all of the fonts and I found some that looked like they should be shapes instead of letters, but when I clicked on it and typed into the box, it typed the letters i was pressing...

2. I am still unsure of what to do with the freebie template... how do I use it the way you intended for it to be used?

1)Add a new scrapbook page,
2)add a piece of paper as a "photo" not as a background to that page
3)Size the paper to the correct size on your page
4) Double click the paper and choose "custom shape" and browse to find and choose the jpg template you downloaded.
5)Click OK.
6)Click OK. Now your paper should have various shades of your original paper.

Sounds like you are doing great. Save it will save the scrapbook album for printing or changing later. Publish is how you get an image to upload here for sharing <I also put them on my digital frame.> or you can also email an image.

So, after figuring out how to make my own shapes with shapes, borders/shapes with fonts, and creating my own template/layout, I FINALLY figured out what to do with the template that was downloaded at the beginning of the challenge.

It finally clicked! By putting scrap paper shapes over the outlined shapes and then using "publish to" to crop it for me! It worked! I never would've figured that one out on my own!

Last year I posted this to help folks learn the best FONTS to use..and updated the sites at that time..I haven't checked to see if these are all current but it's a good start!! HAVE FUN searching for all kinds of stuff already posted by others on this site..Just go to search at the top bar and plug in FONTS..Soooo many fonts stuff came up I couldn't choose for you!!
