This weeks challenge is:

FROM MY WINDOW

it would be nice for us all to see what you see when you look out of your windows (plus how easy will this be to get a photo of lol)

Rules:

1) Scrap a page using photo's taken from your window(s) or outside your home

2) You MUST use a freebie from our embellishment or template section on site

3) post gallery link or page in this post

4) Credit the maker of the freebies

5) all pages to be in by Sunday 10th February

Happy Scrapping http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e102/srangelwithin/smilies/3a.gif

Here's the view from the window by my computer. Used Grannywin's stone wall from the freebies section and Granny's Wild West kit in the digital store (links in the gallery).

What an adorable picture, Hope! What a great way to lead off this challenge. The two are having a wonderful conversation. My stone wall looks better at your house than at mine.

This was last spring. Can't wait until this spring. Very tired of ice and cold. Jonquills are a freebie from Corey. I love the Journal which was a freebie from FST <sorry, I couldn't find the list of initials with designer names> to look you up. The frilly frames are from Donna Thomas.

I almost missed this thread! Well here is my challenge layout. Not a view from my window, but the view from my back door. All the items are from MaryAnn's (MA3) kit "Winter Memories".

Here is my entry for the weekly challenge. I used a paper from the kit Baby it's cold outside (I tinted the color) and the overlay from Believe in yourself. The window frames are mine.

I live in the city and have a postage stamp size yard, but this is my view from my kitchen window. I took the one picture on Monday but didn't get to doing the layout that day. Then it rained the next day and melted the snow. So I took another picture and used both of them.

And I always love the work of Mary Ann <MA3>. She is so talented. I did a search and couldn't find that one.

Rosana, you have a beautiful apartment view. Love the pool and the layouts are gorgeous!

KPierce, about your question of who FST is, that would be your illustrious host to this challenge, Angelwithin herself, Fiona Storey. Love your butterfly pics and all the flowers.

Marion, very nice. Love how your "view" encompasses 2 handsome men. Wish I saw 2 handsome men outside my window but all I see at the moment is a horse's behind.

Sue, love that Mon- Tues idea. Very creative. And at least you have something to look at. I'm waiting to see PkDoll's view. From her post above, I'm expecting to see a brick wall.

OH! Hope, thanks for livening up to me, I confess that taste not to live in apartment, I am very sad, makes time that I want to leave daqui, this difficult. I give preference for one it marries térrea, my husband it does not like! hehehehe

Thanks for the commentaries ok

Wolvsie, please keep the snow in Wisconsin. Rosana, if you have a pool, I will be on the next plane to Brazil.

Looking out into my yard can be so depressing at this time of year with everything dormant. I rather think ahead to the summertime since this is a great party yard. Too bad I didn't take a photo of the football players in the fall. When the midget team played, all I saw were helmets with legs running around the field.

Thanks to Mantee for the marble paper, eye for the gold distress paper, and Angle for the butterfly. I always loved those beautiful, large windows and wanted to see what my yard would look like through one of them. It exists only in my dreams.

I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I saw this beautiful cardinal fly into one of my trees out front. The snow was still fresh in the tree and I quickly snapped this photo. He truly is a beauty.

I used snowflake lace and the wording Beauty that I made and an snowflake overlay from oscraps.com made by Joanne Brisebois called Eccentricities Winter E Pack. I also found the icicle corners from the freebies I believe on this forum but I cannot recall who shared them. So sorry! :( But a big thank you to whomever did they really made the page! :)

I love everyone's layouts! Wish I had such beautiful views but most of the time it's just traffic! :)

O2BNGdHope

Here is another layout for the weekly Challenge. The last layout I did for the challenge had two pics. One had snow on Monday, the second (same view) had no snow on Tuesday. Then Wednesday, it snowed again. So I took several pics around the yard and picked the best ones for this layout.

The background is a closeup on a bush. I made the frames and for the lettering I used "Plump" font with "Snow" style

I hadn't put a page on this challenge but I've sure been admiring them.

I've been getting a WEIRD message when I go to drag and drop to my external. The message says the file name is too long and that I need to rename it. It's happening with all the files that I've saved from the forum. Not real sure what that is all about!

I didn't think to mention that my picture shows Ohio and Michigan. Not too long after you cross that bridge is the Michigan border. Also part of the tip of the peninsula (about half) is also Michigan. If you are traveling by boat down the river, before you reach the lake you are in Michigan. You don't have to travel very far north in the lake and you would be in Canada.
