The contest is not limited to "landscape" or nature layouts...feel free to include pictures of people and pets enjoying the weather and all it brings!

We will be honoring 3 winning layouts. The 1st place winner of the "The Four Seasons" contest will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Scrapbook MAX! Booster Pack Store. Two runners-up will each receive an official Scrapbook MAX! mousepad.

To enter, publish your layout as a JPEG image at High Quality and Web/Email size, and upload it to the contest page. (http://www.scrapbookmax.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2166)

We encourage you to reply to this thread after you enter the contest. Post a link to your entry and tell us a bit about it so we can all get in on the fun!

MONTHLY FREEBIE

And now for everyone's favorite – THE MONTHLY FREEBIE, courtesy our "very own" Diana Carmichael! This christening-themed kit includes: 2 backgrounds, 1 mat, 2 jeweled accents, and 3 jeweled wordart.

Here's what Diana says about her work:

"I've never been one to follow the crowd, but rather "to do my own thing." (You should have seen me in high school!) Oh, sure, I may incorporate an idea here and there, but most of the time I like to create from a different viewpoint to capture interest. And I tend to pour a lot of my own feelings into the creation of my designs, making them right from my heart."

Want to see more of Diana's creations? Find her section of the Scrapbook MAX! Booster Pack Store here:

Love the mini-kit and want more? Find the full kit here (it's only $2.95!):

OK, I still new to digital scrapbooking and brand new to the Groove Newsletter freebies. Once I download it, what do I do? I saved it to my desktop. Should I have saved it some other way?

OK, I still new to digital scrapbooking and brand new to the Groove Newsletter freebies. Once I download it, what do I do? I saved it to my desktop. Should I have saved it some other way?

If you click on the icon on your desktop it will download the items to the embellishment folder in SBM. It is located under the red heart in the creation work area. If you click "open" rather than "save" when you open the link, it will do the same thing, it just won't put the icon on the desktop. After you click on the icon you can delete the icon from the desk top.

I hope that made sense.

Here is a layout of a snowy day in Michigan. My two daughters were smaller then. (:( I really miss those days!)

I used Jessica Dixon's Shiver Collection and Crafty Scraps, Snowlovies by Wolvsie35. :)

My Florida born kids couldn't wait for it to snow when we moved to the NC mountains. They used every bit of snow they could find to build a snowman.

(Used papers & embellishments from wolvsie35's snowlovies. Thanks again for all your help Michelle!):p

Here is another page I created for this contest. :) It is also posted in the Look at My Layout! section. I used the Groove January 2008 Autumn Kit, Dirt and Mud Kit, and Retro Fall Kit from SBM. Also leaves that I made from an image and an embellishment about friends from the embellishment section on SBM (sorry don't remember who shared them), and bows from Granny. I had fun with this layout!

I was encouraged to enter this layout in the Fall 08 Contest:
Fall has always been my favorite season since I was a kid. I love the beautiful colors, and the cool weather. My fondest memory as a child, was my Dad raking up all the leaves and us kids jumping in them. I had always wanted a outside fall wedding and this past October my wish came true.

Was hoping to make a 4 page season scrapbook; however, as usual I'm behind, so I thought that I would at least put in the winter one. Since the snow is plentiful in the midwest this year, this seemed to be the appropriate one to do.

Well my goal was to do one for each season. Being a midwesterner, I do get to experience all of them and love it.

Fiona, I really like your last layout. I added it to my favorites.

With a few days left, I finally got some inspiration. Here is a layout I did for my son and daughter-in-law focusing on their fall wedding. This was my favorite but it will only be viewed in this forum. They liked the maroon layout instead.
The paper was from Scrapbook Flair, called Thanksgiving 2007.

I just came across the thread for the newsletter and saw that there was the fabulous contest for this month. As it is I made this layout a few days ago and just realised that it would be suitable for this contest as well.So here goes:I just love all things fantasy (fairies, elfs, angels etc.) but I also love everything that glitter and "bling" so I decided to incorporate my love for these two and make a layout. And this is what I ended up with!
