CONTEST DETAILS

This month's contest is called "Vintage Memories". We want to see layouts celebrating the past - whether it's ten years ago, fifty years, or more! All we ask is that your photo and elements evoke a time that is past, but not forgotten!

We will be honoring 3 winning layouts. The 1st place winner of the "Vintage Memories" contest will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Scrapbook MAX! Booster Pack Store (http://www.scrapbookmax.com/store/home.php). Two runners-up will each receive an official Scrapbook MAX! mousepad.

To enter, publish your layout as a JPEG image at High Quality and Web/Email size, and upload it to the Vintange Memories contest page (http://www.scrapbookmax.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2080). The deadline is Thursday, December 27, 5:00 pm (CST).

We encourage you to reply to this thread after you enter the contest. Post a link to your entry and tell us a bit about it so we can all get in on the fun!

Thanks for all the compliments. I feel honored to be in such good company.
It was good to remember the "superheros" in our lives. Our fire company just had its 100th anniversary, and the men didn't reminise about the dangers of firefighting. They remembered the silly things that happened to them and there were many.

And for a December entry...

My Dear Dad was in a band when he was younghere he is practicing. He passed on the love of music to me. I remember him telling me this when I found this photo in my keepsake chest. These older photos are the great ones to me. This was such a fun Layout to do. :)

I titled it 'Best Friends Never Die'
My friend Rory and I have been so close for as long as I can remember...But 15 years ago he moved to Iowa and I haven't seen him since..We still talk, but its not the same without him close by...I sure miss him...:(

Here's one of my vintage memories pages. I had a hard time deciding between two pages so I'll add them both. The Vintage MEMORIES pictured here doesn't include me in the photo but I, too, have memories of playing in this creek on the farm that has been in the hands of my ancestors since 1840.

Here's the 2nd page I liked. The curly-headed little girl on the ground that everyone is looking down at is me. I'm sure I said something very clever and lady-like but I can't recall at this time.

This is my entry into the December contest. The journal tells the story. When I saw the transformation of this place, it was like losing a good friend.

Once upon a day, Michael and cousin Shelby were sooooo IN TROUBLE! I told them to think of something to do. All I could get out of them was this infectious silly/serious thinking pic. It cracked me up. They never did come up with anything to do but had fits of giggles the rest of the afternoon..."thinking!" ROTF!

absolutely love looking through old pictures. These 2 were some of my most favorites. Love how the smiles are bigger when the Dads were holding my Mom between them. Wish that I had all these people here still in my life, instead of just memories.

very nice. I know I look at those old photos and feel the same!

Trouble loading this one to the vintage section. Just thought that more people would maybe enjoy this if I posted it here.

Thank you for the freebies! Just had one question, and that is: how do you get the templates to work properly in SBM? When opened under embellishments you can't click in the photo area to add your photo, so how would you add your pictures to the template?

Thanks
Sandy
