We have a new arrival in the family! I would like to introduce my fifth grandchild to you....

Kara Ann arrived Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at 6:24 p.m. (weight 7 lbs. 12 oz...length 20"). Mom and baby are doing well and already home.

Gramma Diana (knzus) had the honor of being present for the birth. :D

(And this would be the reason I haven't been around this week. ;) )

Adorable! Wow, we are having a baby boom. Hope is not contagious. Must be something in the water!

Congratulations nonna!!!! in the us you can stay in the roon for the baby bith? if is yes, is wonderfull i would love to have my mom there toooooo! you are so lucky also for the new bb in family, blessings !!!! and a special kiss for the bb

Yes here in the U.S. you can have whoever you want in the delivery room with you when you give birth. It's awesome-you can have your mom, sister, brother, best friend, whoever you want to be there. It didn't always be like that, but it sure is nice for all the new young moms to have someone close to be there for you besides your husband. I think it helps to keep them calm.

Congrats grandma..she is just beautiful and sure doesnt look like a newborn..I know how special it is to be there when they are born... was in the room when all of my grandsons were born...
