Girls I was thinking, where such, to make in the end of the year, a private friend, and our gifts would follow by airmail . it would like that somebody declared other ideas, why we have as many friends here, and would be a joy to be able to have a souvenir , what they find. they are free to give its opinion ok, I will be happy and grateful

That is a wonderful idea.When I was young I used to colllect charms from around the world. Anyone I knew that went somewhere I would give them money to pick me up a charm.Now that I am older I look at these charms and have nice memories.This is so neat.Letme know.:)

Well, as you all know, I don't celebrate the holidays, but I love the idea of sharing a year end souvenier project.
If every one is willing, I would like to come up with a color palette, and then, have every one make one page with their favorite picture of themself and family, and I will put it together in a slide show. I will post it where you can download it and burn it to a cd. 8 x 8 pages would be great.
Let me know if you would like to do something like this.

Both ideas sound fine with me. The souvenir could be something that your area is known for.

I would love to do both. I would love to take part in Grannys idea. That sounds awesome. And I would love to join in Rosana's idea where we somehow pick names of other members from different parts of the world and exchange a sovenier of our part of the country. Some will get a name of someone else in a different state of USA and some will get a name from someone in a different country. We just have to figure out a way of picking names. This sounds great.

Wonderful. We can go with both things. In fact, we could exchange the suveniers, then have our picture taken with the suvenier we got, and make the page for the cd with that. That way, we all get to see what every one else gets. We touch (don't like to kill), two birds with one stone.
Here is a thought for picking a partner, but we would need the help of the moderators. Each of us submits a number to the moderators, made up of our house address number. No two numbers will be alike this way. The moderator publishes the list here, and we each pick one of the numbers. Now, let's say 5 people have looked at the post already, so you're #6 to look at it, so you pick the number 6 on the list. Then we post the number we got and the person whose number that is would let us know who they are.
Yeah, I know, the person who got your number would not get one from you, they would get it from someone else, but this way, we all share with someone and make a new friend. Also, if two people are looking at post 5 and they think they are number 6 to look, they might both pick the next one. Maybe someone can help me here with the logistics.
Well, it's a little convoluted, so if you can think of a much easier way to do this, by all means, tell us. This is just a suggestion.

This is good idea, both Rosana's and Granny's. My suggestion is:
We sure need a moderator/organizer;
her/his tasks are:
1. give all participants a number
2. get all the addresses of the participants ( which they can send it by email or PM)
3. after closing date , he/she randomly pick a number (from the other participants) for each participant and send that picked name and address, again by email or PM.
So everybody know where to send the souvenier, by mail
Tasks of participents:
1. send an email or PM to the moderator to be part of this fun with details of mailing address, so only the moderator knows who is taking part.
2. send the souvenier to the other person choosen for them
3. make a picture+souvenier, make LO, and send to special thread for this !! So Granny can do her slide show !!

I was thinking the same as Omajo. Taking vacations into account for the closing date. Others that are not here or are ill at the time, may want to participate.
Also, start another thread with the heading Of "Year End Souvenir Exchange" To get everyone's attention.
(Reminder, I will be leaving in the morning for vacation)

Granny that such, if the moderators classified all the ones that want to participate , with numbers and later it sent one I number for each in the p.m. Thus being he would be each one private one without knowing its occult friend, to put the moderator must place the address for the sending of souvernir understands me!

Sue this correct one, exists sick peoples who are not here , to think on this, therefore we could deliver souvenirs next to day 20 to December,
The moderators in would classify them with number and consequentemente each I number with the address of the corresponding person! E we can make here in the site as the Omajo also wrote, that such?

Sounds great!! First step is for someone to contact the moderators and make sure they are willing to do this for us. Than start a new thread with the heading of gift exchange or something and give everyone the directions on contacting the moderators that they want in and giving them your address. After everyone has responded than the moderators can give each address a number and we can either each pick a number or have the moderators assign us a number. Sounds good!!

This all sounds wonderful and I want to participate...lol...but someone has to explain all this number mumbo jumbo to me as well...I am lost, well when aren't I?..lol...Why dont we talk to Karin, and find out if all the people interested can send her our name and address's, she puts them all in a hat and picks a name for each one who wants to be involved, then sends them a PM with who she picked with the info...Sounds alot easier then this number thingy...lol...and hey, if worse comes to worse, I will do it...If agreed upon everyone...You could all send me a PM with your name and address...I will put them all in a hat and pick a name for each one that wants one....send the info back to every person and there DONE!!!!!!! I will even let the kids pick the names, so no one thinks I'm cheating...<wink> and I will take the last name that is in the hat...Let me know...Just offering my services...:D

Here is how I am guessing it...lol...To make things easier to understand...<wink> We are exchanging names for Christmas to whomever wants to be involved..Each person will get a name from a different part of the world, you buy them a small gift representing where you live and send it to the name you receive...Then we take a photo of ourself with the gift we received, make a LO of it and then post it here, so Granny can make a slide show with them..Kind of like Christmas around the world...The confusing part is how to get the names picked to be fair about it, without publicing where we live to everyone out there...lol...I hope this helps...and I was volunteering to gather everyones addresses and names, pull them from a hat and send each pick to you individually thru PM...Does this help any? and if I'm wrong on this, then speak up...hehehehe... :D
We must not call it aChristmas Gift as some do not celebrate Christmas the way we do. Perhaps it can be called Friendmaxship Day or Friendship Day:)

Smile you hit it right on the button!!!! :):) This is an awesome idea-but now we have to work out the details because it's the middle of Oct and end of year is coming fast. I am not sure the moderators will want to be involved with this, probably for more reasons than we can think of-but to name a few, too busy, privacy rights, etc. etc. I don't have a problem with giving wolvsie the information, but I know wolvsie and she already has my info. She is sweet person and you can trust that she would never give your information to anyone-and hopefully no one will hack into her computer to get that info (hmmmm) but she could write it down on paper and get it off her computer if you would feel more comfortable about that. However we can work this out-I think it is a great idea. I for one have made a lot of friends on this site-or I would like to think I have, and I would love nothing more than to send an end of year gift representing my state or area that I live in. It sounds like a lot of us would love to be involved in this-so now lets work out the details. I vote that Wolvsie can collect the info, pick the names and than let us pick a date to mail out our packages. You can also set a price limit if you would like-but I think everyone is on the same page as knowing we are talking a small gift-(but if anyone wants to send me a mercedes I won't argue):)

Calm down girls....lol...I already volunteered my services and my kids for the picking...If someone can let me know if this is what we are doing and is ok with the moderators (which I don't really believe we need permission since this is a personal thingy..<wink>) I guess to make it easier on everyone, we will have to pick a deadline as far as getting everyone's info sent to me via email... Either thru PM here or at craftyscrap@gmail.com I will need the following...
Screen name, Real name and home address...plus your email address so I can send you your pick....
Let me know what the deadline shall be and I will have my kids pick a name for each of you...and if they pick a name from the same place as where you live, I will have them pick a new one, until they get one far from you...After I send each of you your pick, I will burn all the evidence...lol...How does this all sound? :D
I want a hug from everyone, no gifts...hehehehehehe...See, that would make you all have to travel to my house, now wouldn't it...No cyber hugs either....Ok, I will settle for a Mini Cooper...:D:D

girls I also do not commemorate Christmas okay! this idea only left so that all had a souvenir of the friends who we have here, understand me! e I found this end of year an excellent date for this exchange of gifts, and only one simple souvenir nothing more, ok

I think the 2 and 1/2 weeks deadline is great...If this is all said and done now, cause we we are losing time talking...lol...I have already accepted a few addresses already...Doll, Eye and others that I have your address already, do me a favor, please send me an email with the info again, only cause it is easier for me to put the email in a special folder until I receive them all...this way, I can rpint them all up and throw them in a hat...I will include myself, don't worry, I want to be included in this....How long is Marion gone for? and I have got the idea pounded in my head already that this is NOT a Christmas thing...lol....:D So please, with all said, everyone who wnats to get involved, send me name, email, and home address to craftyscrap@gmail.com thank you bunches...((HUGS))
