Hi there everyone. I am from the beautiful Nelson Bays in the South Island of New Zealand. I am very excited about my new purchase of SBM. Have had plenty of fun with it already. I have one problem in that I can't get the updated version. I click on Help and I know I have version 1.0.0.0 and it never lets me update. It leads me back to the home page all the time. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Kiwikid,

Just tried it here and it seems to be working correctly... Are you trying to do the update from the SBM "Help", then "Check For Update?"

I'm sure someone from IR will chime in here... :)

So you mean that the update runs through and then starts all over again? Could it be that you do not have administrative privildges on your system when updating?

Please contact our support department (http://www.scrapbookmax.com/forums/sendmessage.php) and we will help you work this through.

Yes I am trying to do it from Help>Check for updates. It starts off ok then tells me there is a new version and to get it from Indigo Rose. To apply directly to them.

Hi Brett. I click on Help>Check for updates and a new screen comes up which tells me to make sure I am connected to the internet etc then click next. When I do that it quickly checks (2 seconds maybe) then comes up with a screen that says New Version Available - There is a new version available that can only be obtained directly from Indigo Rose. Does that help you to help me???

Hello,

I think I understand now. Please send an email to support[at]scrapbookmax[dot]com with the email address that you purchased with so we can look up your order. We'll get you a fresh set of download instructions that'll contain the latest version.

Thanks!
Desmond.

Thanks again Desmond. New version is now loaded and I am off!!!! There does not seem to be as many embellishments/photos as the last version. Did they go with the uninstall of the 1.0.0.0 or are they lurking somewhere where I cant find them? Thanks again for the speedy help yesterday

Between the two versions, there was a major 'behind the scenes' change -- we implimented high resolution printing. Because of that, our previous embellishments were not of high enough quality.

In the email I sent you, there should be two download links -- the first is for the program itself, the second is for a 'content pack'. Make sure to download and install both!

As well, you should have received a physical CD-ROM -- did you not receive this? The bulk of the content is shipped by CD.

Let me know!

Desmond.

Ok now I am on to it. If only I was a bit more computer literate - but this is better than the kids getting all those little bits of paper etc I used to have!!!

I used to go there twice/year on business. Once, we had a free weekend so one of my customers drove us to Hell's Gate near Rotorua. As I stared at the sign above the entrance, I told him, "Ian, I've had many customers tell me where to go but you're the first who's personally driven me here." I loved the little signs in the 200 degree F thermal pools that read, "Anyone caught littering will be asked to retrieve their litter." Needless to say, it was VERY neat throughout the park.

Will try my best to get some good shots while I am down south for the week. Been a good dumping of snow down there and that always makes for some fun shots - especially as I am taking the kids.

I know a few different people from here (Canada) who went down and spent a year or two in NZ. I've heard only good stories about the place. :)

Welcome - have loads of fun with this great program.

My husband has traveled a lot and seen a lot but he remembers New Zealand as one of the most beautiful places in the world. He absolutely loved it there and he liked all the friendly people. I would love to go there someday! :) :)

Glad to hear all the nice stories about those of you who have visited or had friends visit. Spent a lovely time down in Christchurch with the girls and have some fun photos to layout but fighting to get time on the computer as it is school holiday time! Busy time for me with twins 5th birthday coming up and big sisters 6th birthday a week later so I will have plenty to show you all soon. I promise:)

Welcome Kiwikid,

Love the name!

Can't wait to see some pages. Wish I could say that I've been down your way, but have never had the privilege. Would love some pix of that too!

Again, welcome to the family! :)
